Katelyn Oellerich, NCSP, LPC-IT

 

Katelyn is a Licensed Professional Counselor In-Training. She provides psychotherapy services in person and virtually to children age 4 and up. Katelyn is a Nationally Certified School Psychologist, and previously worked in schools and consulted with area school districts surrounding social emotional learning for over 10 years. In addition to her work in schools she has authored a book, “Using CBT and Mindfulness to Manage Student Anxiety”, is a lecturer in the School Psychology Graduate Program at UW-LaCrosse, and has experience volunteering and working in community mental health settings.


Katelyn’s areas of specialization include Trauma, Anxiety, Adjustment Disorders, Family Systems, and Mood Disorders.

 

Treatment approaches include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Mindfulness, Solution Focused Therapy, Play Therapy, Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR). She also has training and a background in supporting LGBTQ+ and TGNC people through counseling and in writing letters in support of HRT and gender affirming surgeries.


Katelyn strives to build a collaborative and trusting relationship through warmth, non-judgment, connection, and validation.
